Battle of the School Bands 2016

12th Mar 2016

BATTLE OF THE BANDS. Promoted by TOWN 102. And what a night it was!

Bands and solo artists performed, with an audience of family and friends. The judges were Cenzo Townshend a local music professional. Marten Warden, a local singing coach. Last but not least, Town 102 DJ, Wayne Bavin. J. S. and the Lockerbillies performed during the intervals, who were really very good.

“The standard is brilliant”, “Great original sounds and some great acts” and “Big voices from little people”, were some quotes from the judges.

Westbourne Academy’s own group, ‘Urban Fall’, gave us plenty to applaud to. The judges gave them some great feedback: ‘Sean, Ethan, Harry and Sam, all 15 years old, you guys were fantastic, well done’

Category winners were, Whipped Cream, Haley Comet and James Noble. Leon O’Leary, who at just 12 years old, was the overall winner.

Well done to all for an incredible night.
