We are happy to announce that our Community Chest has given ten organisations a £500 grant. Below is a list of the winners:
- 2nd Thurlston Rainbows:
For the group to continue in their many activities for young girls before they go onto becoming Brownies, also helping to keep costs down for parents.
- Polish Community Hub:
This will make a significant difference to the Polish hub by providing essential financial support to ensure the success and stainability of the Polish Heritage Day Event.
- Castle Hill Infant Specialist Unit:
Towards funding a minibus for their children to experience wider opportunities including swimming and other SEND activities
- Butterfly Childcare:
Providing families in Northwest Ipswich with extra activities after school and school holidays.
- Paddy Geere House:
Towards the overhaul of their community garden which is invaluable for their tenants as it is a great space for all to enjoy.
- New Beginnings:
Providing a 6-week course on building self-esteem for boys and girls at a local school.
- Combat2Coffee:
To create a pleasant safe outdoor space at the Unity Centre with plants, hardware and materials.
- St Pancras PTA:
Providing support for the school and funding for their Summer Fayre ensuring a great entertaining day for everyone.
- Bows and Arrows:
Funding a trip to Hollow Tree Farm, Semer, for 20 children and parents, giving them the opportunity to take part in this outdoor experience.
- The Bus Shelter:
Their primary purpose is to support rough sleepers and the homeless, this funding will be used to restock their basic food parcels.
