NWI BLT moves from ‘Streetlife’ to ‘My Local Forum’

Social media group ‘Streetlife’ announced on 6th February that it would be closing in 2 weeks which came as a complete shock to residents and groups alike.

Streetlife was a successful local social network which provided a free and simple place for residents, community groups & businesses to discuss the local area, share practical advice, skills, resources and more.

Our page helped raise awareness of our community action group and provided another way for us to engage with local residents that live within the NWI BLT area of Whitton, Whitehouse and Castle Hill. It wasn’t perfect, what is, but it was a really useful, low cost tool which helped us to promote a variety of community activity.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the local residents who have been a part of our Streetlife conversations over the last couple of years, to Streetlife themselves and to Ipswich Borough Council for their training & support.

We will be starting a page on My Local Forum as an alternative to SL.  Here is the link to our (developing) page.
